There will be representatives from the University of California, California State schools, Santa Barbara City College, Westmont, and the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara providing information and answering questions about planning for higher education. "It's a great opportunity to find out about the different college systems--Cal States, UCs and the private schools--and what they expect in terms of the application process, including tips on applying for financial aid," says Jeff Sofro, a Dos Pueblos guidance counselor. This is not just a night for seniors, either, but for all students interested in going to college. Mr. Sofro says, "It's never too early to start learning about the college planning process."
