For the past 15 years, the Dos Pueblos girl’s golf team has either tied or won the league title.
This year was no exception.
After going undefeated in league, the Chargers advanced into CIF play and took seventh place.
The team had an individual advance as well as senior Bekah Beveridge was the only member of the team to make a run at CIF.
“[Beveridge is a] very good leader and team player,” said Head Coach Robert Schiff. “Good on the course [and] unselfish.”
Despite the strong team and individual advancements, the team needed to finish in fourth place but finished in seventh, cutting their CIF play short. Beveridge was also cut short as she was knocked out in the first round.
However, Coach Schiff sees more than just the trophy or first place title.
“In golf, its cool to hit the ball far,” Schiff said. “But it’s all the little things that are more important.”
