Lunchtime took a turn for the melodious on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, as local teen band The Wha Wha’s played in the Greek theater.

Two-thirds of the talented trio attends Dos Pueblos–Maxton Schulte is a sophomore, and Alyssa Davey is a junior.  Jamey Geston is a freshman at Carpinteria High.

The Wha Wha’s entertained their audience with both impressive stage presence and a quality musical performance, with songs ranging from band originals to laid-back  to the upbeat “Bust a Move.”

All three members also subtly flaunted their extensive musical capabilities by playing a musical chairs of sorts with their instruments, swapping roles as drummer, guitarist, bassist, and vocalists at various times during the show.
