Girl’s track team prevails over San Marcos

Leading the girl’s team to victory was Adeline Zerrenner, who won the 1600 meter (5:28), 800 meter (2:26), and 3200 meter (11:45) races. She also ran on the varsity 4×400 relay team, although they took a close second.
Another prominent athlete was Stamatia Scarvelis, who won the girl’s discus by 17 feet and shot put by 10 feet. She also contributed to the varsity win in the 4×100 relay (50.16) and took second place in the long jump.
Helping to carry the boy’s team, Bryan Fernandez took the gold in the 1600, 800, and 3200 meter runs (the last of which the Chargers took first, second and third place, with Max Davis and Andrew McGuan taking second and third, respectively).
Also of notable performance was JV runner/jumper/hurdler Joshua Fry, whose JV 4×400 relay won first place. He also won the 300 meter and 110 meter hurdles, along with the high jump.
