Senior pitcher Hannah Harris pitched a no-hitter to help the Chargers (18-2 overall, 8-1 in league) defeat the Dons at Santa Barbara 11-0 in this Channel League match up.

Going into the game, Harris knew she was not going to take the Dons lightly.

“I just pitched the best I could and I was really focusing on hitting my spots and making my pitches move,” said Harris. “I could finally relax once the last out was called.”

Junior catcher Haley Peterson helped the Chargers offensively by going 3-for-4 at the plate and driving in 4 RBI’s. Freshman third baseman Kai Uyesaka and junior right-fielder Cassie Davis also recorded an RBI a piece.

The Chargers, who are reigning CIF academic and softball champions, are currently ranked 3rd in the CIF Division 4 standings, 47th in all of California, and 134th nationally.

The Chargers play Camarillo at home on Wednesday, April 25, and finish up the series against the Dons at home on Thursday, April 26.
