The DP softball team could not string together the timely hits in the 2-1 CIF quarterfinal loss away at La Habra on Thursday afternoon.

Freshman Kai Uyesaka had a stellar game, going 2-for-4 at the plate, and scoring the Charger’s lone run in the top of the 6th inning on a solo home run into deep left field.

The third baseman also made a diving over-the-shoulder catch in the bottom of the 3rd, but the Chargers could not carry the momentum through to the next few innings.

Fresno State-bound senior pitcher Hannah Harris ended her high school career by striking out 6 of the La Habra batters,and giving up 5 hits.

La Habra scored their two runs after two back-to-back hits in the bottom of the 4th inning.

The Chargers ended their season with a 25-4 overall record, 11-1 in league.
